We make it easy and affordable for everyone. All we need is a 10% deposit to save your seat, then stagger payments based on your monthly budget.

Ready to “save your seat”, go to the country of your choice on our destinations page and enter the number of participants, choose a date, fill in the booking form and pay your deposit.  One of our representatives will be in touch with you within 24 hours to confirm your booking. Paying a deposit guarantees your spot. If you decide to postpone your vacation, you can apply your deposit to use at a different time or on another trip.  A minimum deposit of 10% per person is required to hold your seat.

On the booking form, check  “pay monthly” if this is your preferred payment plan.  We will invoice you at the beginning of every month until 60 days before the trip when the remaining balance is due.

Please note: Some of our Africa providers have strict payment policies and in these cases, we will inform you at the time of booking.

Saving The Hungry is not responsible for any expenses or losses that you incur as a result of the cancelled booking including vaccinations, delayed or missed flights, visas, stolen goods or other travel fees and costs.

  • Cancellation received 120 days before departure will be held by Saving The Hungry in accordance with these terms, an amount equal to 75% will be refunded
  • Cancellation received 30 – 60 days before departure will be held by Saving The Hungry in accordance with these terms, an amount equal to 50% will be refunded.
  • Cancellation less than 30 days before departure will be held by Saving The Hungry in accordance with these terms, and no refund will be payable.

If a tour is cancelled by Saving The Hungry before the date of departure and the cancellation is not caused by your negligence, you will have the choice of accepting from Saving The Hungry:

  • A substitute trip of equivalent value
  • A full refund of all monies paid for the cancelled tour

Yes, in order to complete our projects within 4 days we need a minimum of 6 people on a team. Once the project is complete you are required to travel as a group, however you are not expected to stay with the group when sightseeing.

Any booking or deposit made through our website or otherwise, shall be deemed as an offer to purchase a trip with Saving The Hungry. Booking services with Saving The Hungry are currently only available to persons who are 18 years or older. By submitting a booking, you warrant and confirm to us that you comply with these arrangements

Saving The Hungry cannot control the exchange rate.  From time to time the rates will increase and you will be invoiced based on your outstanding balance in accordance to the fluctuation in exchange rates. Tours are priced and advertised exclusive of applicable taxes.

Anyone under the age of 18 on the date of first travel is considered to be a minor. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. One adult may accompany up to two minors. Unless otherwise indicated in the itinerary or by Saving The Hungry, the minimum age for minors travelling is 10 years old.  Recommended age for each country is outlined under activity

We want our work to have an impact and affect change so we build our trips around these two criteria.  We cannot design a trip to suit your personal travel dates.  If our dates do not work for your schedule, please feel free to watch our website or newsletter for upcoming dates.

You do not have to be fit to travel with us.  Although all our projects involve light or moderate labor we can allocate your responsibilities to suit your health or age requirements.  We have had guests ranging from ages 10 to 80 on our teams.  There is a job for everyone!

Yes, you can.  All our itineraries have the top ‘must-see’ places for each country, but if there are any other activities you would like us to add on, please ask and we will do our best to assist you.

Yes, you can. Please let us know if you would like us to make recommendations or take care of your additional booking needs.

It is the responsibility of each traveler to ensure they have personal insurance. The minimum insurance should cover medical, evacuation and repatriation coverage.  This policy needs to cover all travel dates with Saving The Hungry. You acknowledge that insurance coverage is not included in the cost of any tour and you are required to obtain separate coverage at your own expense.

Saving The Hungry may modify your itinerary prior to departure to protect you based on weather or security concerns. If Saving The Hungry makes a change affecting at least one full day in the itinerary, Saving The Hungry will provide notice to you as soon as possible, provided that there is sufficient time to do so before departure.  Another activity will be booked of equal value.

Once a team has departed, itinerary changes may be necessary as a result of unforeseen circumstances or concerns for your health and safety.

The traveler is responsible for ensuring that information provided to Saving The Hungry is accurate and up-to-date. No traveler changes are permitted on any booking within 60 days of departure.  If internal flights have been booked, the airlines do not offer refunds, therefore Saving The Hungry cannot offer a refund.

You acknowledge that traveling to developing countries could involve a certain amount of risk to your health and safety.  You hereby assume responsibility for all such risks. Saving The Hungry will require that you sign a waiver form prior to departing on your tour.  Certain tour providers we partner with will also require you to sign a waiver form.

You agree to be cautious in relation to your own safety while traveling with Saving The Hungry.  This includes limited alcohol consumption, the proper use of safety devices and obeying warnings regarding health, safety and country laws.  Saving The Hungry is not liable for loss of goods or money, credit cards or other damages caused by your failure to comply with safety warnings.
